WESTON, CT. — In celebration of America's 250th anniversary, the award-winning limited edition book Doors of Weston: 300 Years of Passageways in a Connecticut Town is now available for a special commemorative price of $76, reduced from its original $100.
The special pricing honors the nation's Semiquincentennial while inviting a new generation of readers to explore more than three centuries of American history through the doors, homes, and architecture of one of Connecticut's most historic towns.

Created by photographer Julie O'Connor, Doors of Weston grew from a series originally
commissioned by the Weston Forum newspaper. The series received a New England Press
Association award and ultimately culminated in this beautifully produced fine art book.

Featuring 177 full-color photographs across 160 pages, the book documents the remarkable heritage of Weston, a pre-Revolutionary War town, through doorways and architectural details dating from 1700 through 2007. Richly illustrated and documented with historical research, personal essays, and previously unpublished historical information, the volume offers readers a unique perspective on the evolution of one New England community over three centuries.

The book includes a preface by longtime Weston residents Susan and Jose Feliciano, who reside in the historic Banks Tavern, one of the town's best-known eighteenth-century homes. An essay by Karen Gianitti of the Weston Historical Society further enriches the historical narrative.

As America commemorates 250 years since the signing of the Declaration of Independence, Doors of Weston serves as a reminder that the nation's history is preserved not only in famous landmarks but also in the homes, buildings, and communities that have witnessed generations of American life.
